What file types do you accept?
All files should be provided using special utilities within the applications for preparation for a printer:
InDesign “Package”
QuarkXPress “Collect for Output”
Publisher “Pack and Go”
or…as PostScript (.ps) or PDF (.pdf) files created using Adobe Distiller.
All graphic files should be provided in TIFF or EPS format. Other file formats will require conversion at an additional charge. Low resolution graphics may not print properly. Lithographic printing requires a resolution of 300 DPI to ensure expected results.
Are photos and images included separately with links? (If not, output may not be as expected.)
Are photos and images saved as EPS or TIFF files?
Full-color images and photos to be printed in 4-color process should be prepared in CMYK (not RGB). Spot colors should be identified as Pantone colors. Multicolored graphics that print properly to continuous-tone output devices (e.g., inkjet and lazer printers) should be separated for output to a printing press. Some files may require special prepress preparation so they can print properly; this may require an additional charge.
Files created with Microsoft Office software cannot be color separated within the application. If the documents are to be printed on an offset printing press, we must use special procedures and tools to separate these files; this will require an additional charge. We will attempt to match the colors as closely as possible.
Our staff is available to assist you in preparing your files properly so we can meet your time, quality, and budget needs.
Are fonts included separately?
If fonts are not included, may we substitute? (If no substitutions, customer must provide fonts separately.)
Has a hard copy of document been provided?
A hard copy of the document is required so we will know what your document should look like. Multicolor documents should be submitted as separations.
How do I get my files to you?
With email services upgrading how big a file attachment can be, we can accept many files through email alone (currently 20Mb sizes). If your files are larger, we have had much success with WeTransfer.

In addition to the above, we have many pieces of material-handling equipment, our own forklift and two standard dock-high loading docks. We also have a bale maker and recycle all of our paper scraps, along with other environmentally responsible business practices.
What are your environmental practices?
The paper companies we deal with harvest trees from tree farms specifically planted, harvested, and replanted to provide an ongoing source of paper pulp.
We recycle all of our scrap paper daily. The offcuts and spoiled sheets are put into our compacter, made into bales and sent to a local recycling center for processing.
We recommend the use of recycled papers when possible.
Our toners cartridges are sent back to the manufacturer for reprocessing.
We use soy-based inks for lithographic printing. Soy ink contains soybean oil, the same oil used in cooking oil. Soy inks emit one-fifth the VOC’s of petroleum-based inks, using less than 1% of the energy needed to produce. It is a renewable resource because it is vegetable based and supports American agriculture. Soy ink is also easier to remove from paper during de-inking, resulting in brighter recycled papers.
We look for ways to reduce our electrical consumption and to minimize the usage of all raw materials.
We encourage “digital” proofing when feasible, to cut down on paper and fuel costs associated with paper proofs.
